HUGE question ABOUT this HAIR?

so i want to get a perm. this is the style of hair i want. : http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v290/y... I already have naturally coloured hair that is quite nice. ^^. and my hair is already long and thick. but its just a little wavy, not curly. i want the haircut/style in the pic, but longer. (i dislike having short hair.) so heres my question. If i go to the slaon and want this perm, what do i say? i hate showing them pictures cuz i dont think they like when people do that. so what do you call this perm? haircut? style? any info is appreciated. ty!

That's a body wave in the pic. And the ONLY reason why some stylist don't like it when clients bring pictures in, is because people don't understand that they're not going to look like the pic when they're done. Just because u bring in a pic of Reece Witherspoon, doesn't mean you're going to leave the salon looking like her. People don't take into consideration face shape, and density and texture.

Majority of stylists love when clients bring in a pic so there's no miscomuniation. And the stylist would take into consideration your face shape as oppose to the person in the pic.

Don't be disapointed in your perm, that curl probably had curlers in her hair to look like that. Perms aren't as 'wash and wear' as you think they are. Do you have time to style your hair in the morning?? You're going to need a diffuser for you blow dryer to enhance the curls when u get them too btw.

they do like being shown pix lol, trust me, it helps them out a lot to give you the exact style you want, so you should show it to them

just show them the picture you are not there to please them and they shouldnt complain when you are giving them your money.showing the picture is the only way to get the results you want.

well the hair being curly from the perm will make it look shorter and they don't mind you showing the pics it's actually easier because you don't have to like try and guess what the people mean or ask them a million ?'s

you cant really go by magazine adds or anything like that. they have the most expensive hair stylists, so your hair wont look like that all the time, anyway.

show the picture, everytime i want a haircut and bring a picture, it's so much easier for the hairdresser, i don't see why they wouldn't like it. it's easier for them, and the haircut comes out just as you want.

You should really show them the picture. Words mean different things to different people and you're going to get your point across better with a photo. Plus, you're much more likely to get the haircut you want, rather than the haircut the stylist THINKS you want.

Is your sylist rude about pictures? Mine practically begs for one! Maybe that's more indicative of my descriptive skills than his preference...

Trust me, just walk in there with the picture you want and ask them if they can do a perm like that. If you specify, they will be so willing to follow your directions - the hardest thing to do is for them to translate their customer's desires into terms they can apply to styling your hair. Making it nice and easy will have you satisfied and they happy that they did what you wanted.

the pic looks more like a style than a perm, that look is easily achieved with styling products. Take the pic to your hairdresser, lots of people do that so the hairdresser knows exactly what you like. Get a cut or trim to suit that style %26amp; watch what she does to style it that way, get some styling products %26amp; a good hairdryer %26amp; practice.
