First time going to a hair salon? what to expect???

well i'm a guy, and i've just finnaly grew my hair out.....ever since i was a kid, i've had the short buzz cut. but this past year, i decided to grown my hair out......its now down to my chin

i'v been happy with it, but....

well, i've decided to change it up, and i've been looking on the internet at hair styles for guys. and found one that i could do with my long hair, but i need to get it cut/trim/styled

i was recommended to a salon in my town, thats preety good (from what i hear). it'll be my first time goin to a actuall hair salon, rather than just a "Great clips" or somethin like that

i'm just wondering.....

1) what to expect???

2) i'm bringing in a picture of what i want.can hair studios ALLways get what your goin for? or do they try?

3) how much should it cost? i just need it trimed/styled

Basically you come in for your appointment (or just walk in) and when the stylist is ready they have you sit in their chair. They ask you what you're going for and you'll show them your picture. They'll decide if that hairstyle will work w/ your hair and your face shape. (that style looks like it would work on most people)

Then they'll probably take you to wash your hair, you'll lean back in the little tub chair thing. They'll lead you back to their chair. After they cut it, watch how they blow dry and style it so you can figure out how to do it yourself. Ask them which products to use on your hair. And feel free to ask lots of questions! They want you to be a satisfied customer so you want to come back one day.

As far as price goes, it depends where you live and which salon you go to. In most places I imagine it would be like $25-$35 for a cut plus tip. See if you can look up the salon's website, or see if they're on yelp.
